About the NAELA Foundation

Our Mission

The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Foundation is dedicated to advancing legal services for older adults and people with disabilities through innovative research, impactful scholarship and education, and strategic support for litigation.

We strive to:
Foster research and evidence-based information that addresses emerging issues in elder and special needs law, informs policy, and enhances legal practices.
Cultivate a diverse community of next-generation professionals, scholars, and leaders in the field through scholarship and engagement.
Support strategic litigation to establish and defend the rights of older adults and people with disabilities, shaping jurisprudence in this critical area of law.

Who We Are

The NAELA Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees solely appointed by the corporation. The NAELA Foundation Board of Trustees is composed of experienced, knowledgeable private elder and special needs law attorneys, public service attorneys, and professors, all focused on the Foundation’s mission and supporting  advancing legal services for older adults and people with disabilities.
