About Practice
Firm concentrating in elder and special needs law, which includes: Helping people understand and plan for the programs available to finance long term care, such as Medicaid; drafting and assisting clients with the use of documents such as powers of attorney, wills and trusts; preparing and advising clients on the use of special needs trusts to protect the ability of individuals with a disability to receive needed benefits; helping families and individuals with special needs to understand their options to maintain autonomy for the person with special needs, while providing security at the appropriate level for the management of finances and health care decisions; working with personal injury attorneys and their clients to protect the clients’ eligibility for benefits; initiating and defending guardianship and protective placement cases; disability and mental health law; and contested litigation.
