Professional Biography
Ann Watkins joined NAELA in 2009 as one of the first hires during the transition from Arizona to Virginia. Initially hired in a coordinator position, Ann was promoted to the position Operations Manager and then to her current position as the Senior Director of Operations. During her tenure at NAELA, some of the major initiatives she has been involved in include sourcing and migrating the AMS/CMS systems, creating a digital library, designing, and launching a new website, launching the Foundation, and fundraising program and migration of data and systems from physical drives and servers to the cloud environment. A lifelong Washington, D.C. resident, prior to her tenure at NAELA, she served at several trade associations and non-profits in the D.C. area.
