Professional Biography
Josie M. Porras Corporon, CELA, JD, BSW received her BA in Social Work from California State University, Chico and her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. Josie was a medical social worker prior to becoming an attorney and has incorporated those skills into her law practice. Josie is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law, as certified by the California State Bar. Josie’s practice focuses on elder law, probate, trusts, estate planning and administration. She is the past chair of the Secretary of State’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Advisory Committee and sits on the Executive Committee of Legal Services of Northern California. She served on the board of directors for the Peg Taylor Center, an adult day health care center, for almost 20 years. She is also a member of the board of directors and past president of the Northern California Chapter of NAELA.
