This session will begin with a review of criminal cases involving attorneys in estate planning and elder law in which resulted in convictions and disbarments. Part 2 of the session will focus on the survey the ABA produces every four years about malpractice claims dealt with by insurance carriers which reveal telling information as to malpractice claims in the US and how they sort out as to areas of law and the basis of the claims which draw the most complaints.
