In light of ongoing developments with COVID-19 and after thoughtful discussions with our Board of Directors, NAELA has decided to move our 2021 Annual Conference to a fully online, virtual experience that will take place on March 24–26, 2021. We believe this is the safest approach for the well-being of our members, and we are excited that a virtual conference makes it possible for NAELA to continue to provide the highest quality of education along with opportunities to share and connect with others about the latest changes in the practice of elder and special needs law. NAELA’s 2021 Virtual Conference promises to provide cutting-edge content to get you rethinking the possibilities for a stronger tomorrow.
Here’s What You Can Expect
1. Practical education to help your firm succeed in today’s environment. Sessions include:
• Using Key Metrics: How to Strategically Market Your Practice
• The Ins and Outs of Law Firms: Entering and Exiting a Law Firm Partnership
• How to Protect Your Client’s Booty! Keeping Lay Fiduciaries and You Out of Hot Water
• Litigation Strategies to Recover Assets That Have Been Stolen Through Exploitation
• When Your Practice Becomes Personal: An Insider’s Perspective
• Paying for Long-Term Care Without Public Benefits
• Maximizing Quality of Life for Developmentally Disabled Individuals Under Age 65
• Maximizing Quality of Life for Individuals With Dementia and Alzheimer’s
2. Networking. In particular, there will be a focused effort on connecting with community. Networking is a cornerstone of our annual event and attendees will be able to partake in interactive and engaging experiences through a dynamic new virtual conference platform all while attendees connect from the comfort and safety of their home or office.
3. Flexible, virtual participation (including attendee orientation). The conference agenda will be spread over the course of three half-days to ensure that content is delivered in a way that fits your busy schedule. Attend every session or tune in for just a handful that provide you with the information most pertinent to your practice. Attendees will be able to learn at their own pace, on their own time. All sessions will be recorded and accessible for reviewing on demand for one year via the NAELA Store.
All registered attendees will be invited to a preconference orientation session prior to the kickoff of NAELA’s 2021 Virtual Conference to make sure you’re familiar with the virtual platform.
Our exhibitors will be there virtually too, supporting the conference and providing you with the opportunity to get some one-on-one time just like at our live events.
We hope that you will join us for this reimagined event! Please help us celebrate our collective resilience and dedication to rethinking possibilities and forging connections without boundaries.
