ACA's Medicaid Long-Term Services (2011)

Product Details:
From the National Aging & Law Institute. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) offers more money to states that are willing to expand their Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) options. Meanwhile the Department of Justice is stepping up its enforcement of the ADA against states that are failing to comply with the integration mandate in the operation oftheir Medicaid programs. This seminar provides an overview of state adoption of the ACA's new Medicaid LTSS options, as well as an analysis of how effective this adoption may be in shaping the states' programmatic choices and their effords to comply with the ADA. Approx. 1 hour. Presented by Gene Coffey, Esq. and Paul Nathanson, Esq. National Senior Citizens Law Center.
