NAELA Supports National Financial Literacy Month (April)
Elder Law and Special Needs Planning Attorneys Promote Efforts to Increase Financial Education

Washington, DC — National Financial Literacy Month highlights the importance of financial literacy and teaching Americans how to establish and maintain healthy financial habits. The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) supports these important goals as its members assist and advocate for older Americans, people with special needs, and their families with estate and retirement planning, planning for the care of a child with disabilities, long-term care, and other financial legal matters.

“Americans often underestimate health care costs and how much they need to save for retirement and long-term care, causing a lot of stress later on, but it doesn’t need to be that way. We are committed to preparing our clients and their families for these situations,” said NAELA President Michael J. Amoruso, Esq., CAP, Fellow.

To learn more about financial planning for older Americans and people with special needs, locate an elder law or special needs planning attorney in your area using the NAELA Member Directory.
