NAELA Pays Tribute on Veterans Day
National Association for Elder Law and Special Needs Planning Attorneys Observes National Holiday Recognizing Veterans for Their Service

Washington, DC
— On November 11, Americans will be honoring military service men and women across the country with parades, ceremonies, and other events to thank them for their service. The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) recognizes veterans not only on this day, but throughout the year by assisting veterans and their families in obtaining their hard-earned public service benefits.

“An example of NAELA’s commitment to serving veterans is by educating its members and clients about the October 18th changes made by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to Veterans Pension on Aid and Attendance and other needs-based benefits. While these benefits cannot cover all long-term services and supports, they are a tremendous help and allow veterans and their spouses to receive benefits without impoverishing themselves for Medicaid,” said NAELA President Michael J. Amoruso, Esq, Fellow, CAP.
