NAELA Supports National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month in November
Attorneys Raise Awareness of Legal Options for People Living with Alzheimer’s Disease and Their Families

Washington, DC — In honor of November as National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) focuses on raising awareness of education and legal resources available for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.

As the number of older Americans diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease grows, family members often find themselves serving as part- or full-time caregivers, navigating options of nursing homes or assisted living facilities for the first time, and estate planning for incapacitated individuals.

“It’s important to be proactive with legal planning for people with Alzheimer’s disease. NAELA member attorneys are knowledgeable and well-equipped to assist these families and those who are currently dealing with the complexities of planning for Alzheimer’s disease,” said NAELA President Catherine Anne Seal, CELA, CAP.

To receive a free NAELA brochure: “Questions and Answers When Looking for an Elder and Special Needs Law Attorney,” contact Communications Manager Abby Matienzo by email or phone at 703-942-5711 #230.
