NAELA Foundation seeks to advance the goals of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and advocate for the rights of older Americans and people with disabilities. Our goal is to establish good legal precedent in matters of critical importance to older Americans and people with disabilities. The Foundation manages and distributes a Litigation and Regulatory Advocacy Fund that supports legal work of critical importance to older Americans and people with disabilities by providing financial support to members, NAELA Chapters, and other nonprofit organizations.

About Us

The NAELA Foundation is dedicated to protecting the interests and benefits of older Americans and people with disabilities. Our work and your donations support our most vulnerable as they face continuous eroding of rights and benefits:

  • Legal and regulatory advocacy that enhances the lives of seniors and people with special needs.
  • Litigation and amicus ("friend of the court") briefs filed singly or in partnership with like-minded organizations.
  • Resources that educate on current topics and best practices.
  • Scholarships for NAELA members to attend conferences and seminars.

We Can't Do This Alone

The NAELA Foundation is committed to ensuring that NAELA Chapters, members and related nonprofits have the resources to accomplish their mission of championing Elder and Special Needs Law litigation and regulatory advocacy. With your support of our partnership with NAELA and those who share our vision, we can continue to help protect critical benefits and essential services relied on by the two most vulnerable populations in the United States.
